Jeroen Fredrik – Guitar / Piano / Lead Vocals
Jeroen picked up the guitar at age 11, sparked by a musical home. It was his older brother’s record collection—featuring Level 42, Dire Straits, and later heavier acts like Guns N’ Roses, Green Day, and Rage Against the Machine—that truly lit the fire. Tom Morello’s inventive riffs and unique guitar techniques especially captured his imagination and shaped his approach to the instrument.
In his early teens, Jeroen joined a band with his hometown friends, writing original songs inspired by Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Nirvana, and Silverchair. That project eventually evolved into the band BLEND, where he teamed up with Bob and Chico.
Over time, what began as a side project, Musest took center stage, and the trio shifted focus entirely to paying tribute to Muse’s explosive sound and energy.
As Musest’s guitarist and lead vocalist, Jeroen thrives on replicating Muse’s complex guitar parts, complete with the signature effects and textures. Once the guitar work is locked in through muscle memory, he shifts focus to delivering powerful vocals on stage—a skill honed during his Blend years, when he discovered his vocal range.
Offstage, Jeroen is a creative force in other ways too. With a background in mechanical engineering and a passion for programming, he designs technical 3D animations and CGI stills combined with video work for his day job. These skills also feed back into Musest—he designed Chamo’s custom e-drum stand and developed the LED trigger system that lights up their electronic setup during live performances.
