Chico Abelino – Bass / Backing vocals
Chico Abelino is the bassist, backing vocalist, and technical director of Musest.
Born in February 1988, he studied at the Rockacademy and SAE Institute, building a solid foundation in music and sound engineering. His playing is influenced by bands such as Nothing But Thieves, Royal Blood, Queens of the Stone Age, and Nine Inch Nails.
Outside of Musest, Chico works as an audio programmer and system architect for an audio visual system integrator. He lives in Gorinchem with his girlfriend, Maartje, and enjoys creative hobbies like 3D design and woodworking, as well as staying active through sports.
For his setup, Chico plays three Status Graphite Chris Wolstenholme Signature bass guitars. His sound is shaped by running two Kemper Profiling Amps in parallel (wet & dry), combined with a range of effects including the Zvex Woolly Mammoth, Crowther Prunes & Custard, Human Gear Animato, and several octave and overdrive pedals.
